PoolCircle values your privacy does not share your personal data and contact information with any third party unless absolutely essential for the reliable functioning of our service.
You will need to register on PoolCircle in order to use our service.
You may register on PoolCircle with your Email address and secure your account using a password. We will store your password in an encrypted manner in our databases. Alternately you may sign in to PoolCircle using your Google+ or Facebook credentials. PoolCircle will access the following information from your Google+ account - Name, Profile Photo, Email address. PoolCircle will access the following information from your Facebook account - Name, Email address, Gender, Profile Picture and Friend list.
In addition, when you login for the first time, PoolCircle will require that you complete you Profile with the following information - Name, Email address, Phone Number, Profile Photo and Gender. In case you intend to participate in our social network as a Car Owner, you may optionally enter details about your vehicle (Model & Make, Registration Number) and the Expected Fuel share.
When you do a search we will require that you enter your starting point, ending point and your starting time.
In addition to this, the rating that you provide to others will be stored in our database and users can see the rating that others have provided for them.
When you do a search for a Car Owner or a Passenger, along with your trip details (Starting Point, Destination and Starting Time), on PoolCircle, your personal information (Name, Email address, Gender) will be shared with other users who have a similar trip details. In turn, you should expect to see the above details about other users with similar trip details. These details are shown to allows our users to make informed decisions about requesting and accepting a carpool.
After the carpool has been set up, using the 2 two handshake (Passenger requests a carpool and the Car Owner accepts the carpool), both users will able to see the other user's mobile number. This has been done to allow the Car Owner and the Passenger to iron out the last mile details of the carpool - exact pick up point, pickup time and change of schedules. The Passenger would also see the Car Owner's Car Make & Model and Registration Number - this has been done to enable the Passenger to identify the Car Owner at the pickup point.
In addition, your personal data and contact information may be shared with potential ride partners in order to help them make an informed decision about carpooling with you. You should expect to see same information about your ride partners so that you can make informed decisions about carpooling with them. PoolCircle reserves the rights to share your personal information, on demand by any government agency.
PoolCircle may share your personal data with our agents, representatives, contractors and service providers so they can provide PoolCircle with support services such as email origination, messaging or other support services and customer relationship management services. We require that these agents, representatives and contractors, service providers do not use your personal data for any other purpose.
When you do a search for a carpool on PoolCircle, others who are going the same way can see your profile and can reach out to you by calling you or sending you an SMS on your authenticated email address.
PoolCircle will send you email communication in order to make your carpooling experience more efficient - activation of your service, notifications to enable carpooling, informing you about promotions and commercial messages.
Your PoolCircle account is password-protected and we will store your password in an encrypted manner in our databases. Only you and authorized PoolCircle employees have access to your account information. In case you have signed up for PoolCircle using your Facebook or your Google+ credentials, then your login and password shall be the same as your Facebook or your Google+ login and password, respectively. Do not give your password to anyone.
PoolCircle makes every effort to ensure that your information is stored in a secure on our systems and we have measures to protect against loss and misuse of the same. The information that you submit with www.poolcircle.com or the PoolCircle mobile applications may be transmitted to us over the internet and we cannot guarantee complete security of the data transmitted to us. You submit data to PoolCircle at your own risk.
